Improving ten fold from the horrible first person fighting that plagued the previous NHL games, the third person fighting is extremely fun. I love the hitting system and the fighting as those are my favorite things to do in hockey video games. I still recommend this game for the competitivity. Overall, NHL 09 is the best hockey game there's ever been and is a significant improvement over '08.
