The levels are open-world and offer a huge living world. The game is long if you complete it with the main story and a few more if you are into side quests. One of the best RPG in gaming history, and probably a game that set standards for lots of games that came after.

The 3D engine looks unbelievably good. The surroundings are impeccable, and bear a surreal and depressive atmosphere. All the objects and buildings look just as great. The environment, the quests, and the huge world you're in overcomes. Gothic is quite a hidden gem of the RPG genre. It's still amazing, fully enjoyable and a very unique fantasy RPG experience. Really good world design, it's not overly huge like some other open worlds. I really enjoyed the world, story and atmosphere Gothic provided and I'm looking forward to play Gothic 2. A brilliant game with a good story and wonderful atmosphere. It's old, yes, but it's still one of the best RP Gs I've ever played.

One of the best RPG games ever and the most favourite game from my childhood. This game is different from the elder scrolls 3 and dragon age.  If you are classical RPG fan this is definitely for you. Recommend for everyone. Fantastic game, One of the best atmospheres in a game ever. This is old classic RPG which i played too late when there are better new age games. Best fantasy RPG of all time.
