Much better than Borderlands 1. The greatly improved on the game dynamics and interface over the original Borderlands. The graphics are great and the DLCs are actually good enough to merit buying them. The storyline in conjunction with the models and voice acting is insanely compelling. The art, narration and characters are really memorable. There's just something really special about this game the way the characters grow on you, the explosive atmosphere, the compelling story. The game is very inclusive of queer characters and neurodivergent characters. Every character feels alive and has defining dialogue and the areas you can explore are often beautiful. The FPS genre generally is very memorable.
Definitely one of the best new games I have played. This game is fun to play solo or over the net with friends. So I full heartedly recommend Borderlands 2. If you like first person shooters, you'll like this game. If you like 4 player co-op with friends, you'll like this game. Overall Borderlands 2 is a great improvement on the original connecting with friends.
