In Windward you take to the seas in a boat from one of four factions each with their speciality ranging from combat prowess to diplomatic success. As you travel through the world you will come across many enemies to kill, towns to set free from pirate occupation. The combat is fast and fun, but complex enough to be rewarding. Nice graphics and everything is well designed especially the ships. The map is fully customisable but if you don't edit it the map is procedurally generated anyway so you'll never play the same game. A large skill tree where each skill really does make a big difference. The game features something called Instances which are small missions you can trigger at any time which earn you loot and EXP. Everytime that you're looking for a game with tall sailing ships and pirates.
Both fun and relaxing to play, the game focuses on being a fun experience for all rather than focusing on providing a realistic sailing simulator. For once buying a new game this game was a real good investment as it's playable pretty much bug free and offers a lot of fun. It's great fun, and thrives on simplicity.
