Lucius is a fun little game that puts you in control of a 6 year old spawn of Satan. The game itself mixes together a number of elements from different genres and the outcome is a pretty novel, and entertaining experience. The story is the vein of the classic horror movie, The Omen. The Shining, The Exorcist and Final Destination, among others. Also, if you like Hitman and Death to Spies series, then this game is definitely for you. This game requires your utmost attention, there are no abstract objectives as to what you are supposed to be doing. You have to read between the lines. The story and the pacing of the game are amazingly well put together, the freak accidents get more and more, well, freaky, and the detective investigating the murders narrates the entire story with a small preamble before each mission.

The player starts as Lucius and must cleverly devise these incidents from simple household items. Lucius is amazing. It is about a devil child who has to do missions for his father "the devil". Lucius can be engrossing, charming, and even darkly funny. Sadly, the game is bogged down by its poor execution, inconsistent atmosphere, buggy levels, and monotonous mission objectives. The graphics are good looking and smooth but the gameplay is limited despite the undeniable pleasure of randomly killing just about everyone you come across in a variety of inventive ways.

Lucius is classified as an adventure game, but I feel like it deserves its own genre: Murder simulator. This game is very entertaining to play, the different death's throughout the game are quite good, however I think this game would be better if you could decide how to kill each person yourself. Overall it's a pretty interesting game.
